Princeton Police Arrest Reports July 1-5

Princeton, Ky.

-  The Princeton Police Department has reported the following arrests:

07/01/09 12:16 P.M. Karen J. Dunning 130 Levi Dunning Road reported a theft to police.  Dunning told officers that on 6/30/09 between 9:00 and 11:00 P.M. while she was at work at Bremner Inc., someone stole her lunch box and cellular phone from the break room.  Dunning reported that the lunch box was valued at $10.00 and the phone at $319.00.

07/01/09 4:04 P.M. Officers arrested Stacey L. Sharp, 29, Garden Acres on a charge of Theft By Unlawful Taking Under $500.00 after responding to a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar Store.  Dollar Store employees reported that Sharp was observed taking an electric razor valued at $8.00 and concealing in her clothing.  Sharp was taken into custody and lodged in the County Jail.

07/02/09 12:23 P.M. Officers arrested Randle L. Brown, 50, North Harrison Street on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest after responding to a disturbance complaint at 509 E. Main Street.  Brown who was being loud and using obscene language was taken into custody after he ignored the officers commands to calm down.  Brown was lodged in the County Jail.

07/02/09 7:35 P.M. Margaret E. Ethridge 103 Hillview Court reported a theft to police.  Ethridge told officers that sometime between 3:00 P.M. and the time of the report someone stole her wallet which contained approximately $400.00 in cash and a check for $565.00. 

07/03/09 Officers arrested Ronald E. Pavey Jr.,, 47, Linton Way on a charge of Assault 4th Degree after responding to a 911 hang up at 314 Akers Ave.  Pavey’s wife told officers that Pavey was intoxicated and had pushed her down and grabber her wrist causing injury.  Pavey was taken into custody and lodged in the County Jail.

07/03/09 10:59 P.M. Officers charged Shane D. Jones, 21, Rosedale Apartments, Dawson Springs, KY with Reckless Driving, DUI, Fleeing or Evading 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading 2nd Degree, Driving on a Suspended License, 2 Counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree after officers attempted to stop the 1988 Toyota Jones was driving for traffic violations.  Jones refused to stop leading officers on a pursuit from the intersection of Hwy 62 and 91 (Druthers Curve) to the West KY Parkway where he entered the Parkway at the 12 mile marker and exited the Parkway at the 13 mile marker traveling north on Hwy 293 to Sugar Creek Church Road then to Bogle Road where Jones drove his vehicle into a controlled brush fire and fled on foot.  Officers located Jones a short distance from the vehicle suffering from severe burns to his feet where he fled through the fire and the rubber (Crocs) he was wearing melted to his feet.  Jones was transported by CaldwellCountyEMS to the Caldwell County Hospital and then Transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

07/04/09 1:20 A.M. Officers arrested Marlin E. Duncan, 45, Mechanic Street on a charge of Alcohol Intoxication after responding to a complaint of an individual passed out on the front porch of a vacant house at Mechanic and Garrett Streets.  Duncan was taken into custody and lodged in the County Jail.

07/05/09 9:01 A.M. Officers investigated a vehicle versus pedestrian collision at the Kangaroo Express on South Jefferson Street.  Katherine H. Utley, 46, 414 North Jefferson Street (a Kangaroo Express employee) was measuring the gasoline level in the tanks when she was struck by a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Michael E. Sims, 29, 204 Ratliff Street who was backing out of a parking space.  Utley was transported by Caldwell CountyEMS to the Caldwell County Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.

07/05/09 9:58 A.M. Mary J. Edwards 100 McGoodwin Street reported vandalism to her residence to police.  Edwards told officers that sometime between 4:00 A.M. and the time of the report someone threw a rock through a bedroom window of her residence.

07/05/09 Officers arrested eight adults and charged one juvenile with a variety of charges after responding to disturbance complaints in the area of N. Cave and Calvert Street, and the Dotson Park area.  Officers initially responded to the area at approximately 1:00 A.M. and were on the scene approximately 3 hours during which one adult was arrested and   the situation calmed down.  At approximately 3:00 P.M. officers were again summoned to the area regarding a similar disturbance which calmed down without any arrest.  At approximately 7:45 P.M. officers again responded to the area during which officers arrested seven adults and detained one juvenile and the situation was calmed down.  Princeton officers were assisted by units from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department and the Kentucky State Police.  Taken into custody were:

Lynn O. Wilson, 22, N. Harrison Street charged with Alcohol Intoxication.

Daniel E. Bell, 21, Legion Drive, charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Catherine R. Blont, 34, N. Harrison Street charged with Hindering Prosecution, Resisting Arrest, and 2 counts of Assault 3rd Degree on a Police Officer.

Michael L. Lipson, 19, W. Green Street, charged with Assault 4th Degree, Resisting Arrest, Assault 3rd Degree on a Police Officer, and Inciting a Riot.

Jimmy D. “LJ” Wilson Jr., 20, N. Harrison Street charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Marcus I. Wimbleduff, 18, Baldwin Ave, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Phillip B. Wimbleduff, 34, Lake Street charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Donnie E. Riley, 44, N. Donnivan Street charged with Assault 4th Degree, and 2 counts of Failure to Comply with Bond Conditions on Caldwell County Warrants.

A 17 year old juvenile was also charged with Hindering Prosecution and Disorderly Conduct.  All of the adults were lodged in the County Jail and the juvenile was charged and released to relatives.
