Hopkins County, KY - There have been a team of 2-3 white males of heavy build believing to be driving a silver / grey passenger vehicle are posing as carpet salesmen committing robberies in Hopkins County.

iSurf News spoke with Deputy LyDon Logan who worked the first report yesterday afternoon who stated "The victims are elderly with the men stating they are eligible for FREE carpet due to their age."  The men are very persuasive and pushy but there have been no reports of physical abuse.  The license plate is believed to be an out of state plate. 

Deputy LyDon asked that everyone be on the alert for any suspicious vehicles traveling in their neighborhoods and to notify any elderly family members of this situation.  There have been 4 reported incidents two of which were called into the Kentucky State Police since yesterday afternoon.  

These robberies have been reported by residents of the Rabbit Ridge, Richland, and Barnsley area in south Hopkins County.  The men distract home owners while another looks through the residence attempting to steal items from the inside of the residence.
