Madisonville, KY – An 18 year old murder case may be decided by a circuit court jury the end of this week.
A Hopkins County Jury has been listening to testimony all week in the murder trial of Bradley Dale Day of Texas.
Day, who lived the Madisonville area was arrested and charged with the murder of 30 year old Sheila Jo Hargrove of Manitou. Her body was discovered by authorities in 1991 in strip-mine lake off Laffoon Trail. The lake is known by locals as “Horse Shoe Lake.
The murder was listed in the cold case files until police found new evidence leading to the 2007 arrest of Dale Day. He was indicted by a Hopkins County Grand Jury and extradited back to Hopkins County.
The defense began presenting their case this morning. The jury is expected to get the case for deliberations before the end of the week. iSurf News has been attending and will follow this case to it's conclusion.
