Mortons Gap, KY - The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle located at the 300 block of Trabue Road, Mortons Gap.
When officers arrived, the vehicle was parked in the roadway and the operator, Jonathan Ruby age 29 of 10737 Mount Carmel Road in White Plains was unconscious.
When Ruby was awoken by police he began to resist arrest. Ruby was found to be in possession of marijuana and the ingredients used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Ruby was charged with Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence Alc/Drugs 1st Offense, Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, and Resisting Arrest. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Madisonville Police Department.
