Earlington, KY – An Evansville man is in the Hopkins County Jail following a Sunday evening accident in Earlington.
Kentucky State Police report 33 year old Andrew Allen of Evansville was traveling South on East Farren St. in Earlington when he crossed over the left shoulder of the roadway and hit a curb. He ran over a street sign and continued traveling South to the intersection of South Lee Trover Todd Highway.
Meanwhile, 67 year old Nancy Stevens of Crofton was traveling South on Lee Trover Highway when Allen's vehicle ran the stop sign and struck Stevens vehicle in the driver side causing her van to overturn in the middle of the highway.
Stevens and her passenger, 14 year old Susan N. Mullins of Crofton, were trapped inside the vehicle. After being freed by emergency personel, Both victims were transported to the Regional Medical Center.
Allen was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. And three counts of 1st degree wanton endangerment.
State Police say a passenger in Allen's vehicle, 4 month old Madelynne Allen, also of Evansville, was in a child restraint seat and was not injured.

Hopkins County, KY – iSurf News was on the scene of an accident moments ago in Earlington, KY in front of Ideal Convenient Store.
The Kentucky State Police informed iSurf News reporters that eyewitnesses saw one vehicle run a stop sign and T-bone a female in another vehicle, flipping it over.
The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was immediately arrested and charged with D.U.I. by the Kentucky State Police. That same individual also had an infant passenger. The infant was not harmed in the collision.
According to officials on the scene, there were no Fatalities and no names have been issued at this time. iSurf News will bring you more coverage as it is released.
