Madisonville Fire Responds to Carbon Monoxide Alarm Activation

Madisonville, KY - The fire department answered a call for a carbon monoxide alarm activation at 213 South Seminary. On arrival fire crew used a four gas monitor to check the
structure.

It was determined that the source of the carbon monoxide was a gas oven. The resident was advised not to use the oven until repairs were made to correct the issue.

Crews also responded to a vehicle on fire in the parking lot at Peebles Deptartment Store at Parkway Plaza Mall. Fire crews found a truck with heavy smoke in the interior. During investigation it was found that smoking materials left unattended inside the vehicle had melted plastic interior parts causing the smoke.
