Amazing Results in Library Book Sale

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - The Hopkins County-Madisonville Public Library offered a huge book sale just outside the inner entrance to the building at the Parkway Plaza Mall on Black Friday. iSurf News was on the scene as one individual after another perused through the seemingly endless tables of books.

According to Library officials, hundreds of books were sold. In many cases the customers required help in taking their newly-purchased books to their vehicles, as they bought so many that they had to be boxed up and moved in bulk. The initial crowd hit the tables hard when the Parkway Plaza doors were opened early in the morning. Apparently the initial wave of potential customers claimed over 100 books

within a matter of the first two hours. The library hosted this book sale to move the excessive amount of paperbacks, hardbacks, and educational books that had been donated to the Library by Hopkins County citizens. The funds from this venture went to help fund the library in their daily service to the Madisonville and surrounding communities.
