HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - The trial date for murder suspects Dustin McKinney and Eddie Goodnight was extended to December 18 in a decision by a Hopkins County judge early Friday Morning at the suspects preliminary trial hearings.

McKinney and Goodnight, both residents of Paducah, Ky, are charged with murder and burglary in the case of Lynn and Mary Moore of Dawson Springs recently. The couples' bodies were found near their home. Lynn Moore had been shot and Mary Moore had died from other wounds.

Initially, the case was suspected to be a murder/suicide by everyone, including the family of the victims. Upon further investigation, Hopkins County law-enforcement uncovered evidence leading to the two suspects. Both suspects were apprehended outside of Hopkins County.
