Local Man Arrested Following Year Long Investigation

MADISONVILLE, KY - On Thursday, November 12, 2009 at approximately 12:07 p.m., the Kentucky State Police, in cooperation with several other agencies, executed a search warrant at an apartment located on Wilshire Drive.

The search warrant was obtained as a result of a year-long, joint investigation.  Upon execution of the search warrant, officers located a large quantity of hydromorphone pills and hydrocodone pills inside the residence.  Officers also located a large amount of U. S. currency and a loaded firearm inside the residence. 

 

Arrested without incident was the resident of the apartment, Ralph Stanley, age 68 of Madisonville, KY.  Mr. Stanley was charged with the offenses listed above and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.

Agencies participating in the investigation include the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, the Madisonville Police Department, the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, and the United States Postal Service
