At 11:21 a.m. the Madisonville Fire Department received a call for mutual aid by the Hanson Fire Department. The fire was initially reported by drivers on the Pennyrile Parkway. Battalion 3, Engine 15, and F-2 responded. Upon arrival the residence was determined to be within the Madisonville city limits and fire command was transferred to Battalion 3 from the Hanson FD and additional city units were called for.
