Hopkins County, KY - The Hopkins County Bass Club will hold their annual Bass Tournament on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 6:00am at the Kentucky Dam Marina. Registration is $90.00 per boat and there is a guaranteed $3,000.00 (minimum) First Place Prize. Boats will take off in order of post mark on the entry form. You can bring in a new childs toy to enter in a chance for free registration in next years tournament. The rules of the tournament are as follows:
1. Your boat and motor must conform to BIA Horsepower Ratings.
2. All boats must be equipped with Coast Guard approved kill switch.
3. Choose your own partner or fish alone.
4. Winners will be determined by tournament officials based on total weight of fish.
5. Only fish measuring 15 inches or more with mouth closed will be weighed in.
6. All smallmouth bass caught in Tennessee waters must measure 18 inches or more to be weighed in.
7. Golden Rule will be the official board used.
8. Only Largemouth, Smallmouth and Kentucky Spotted bass will be weighed in.
9. No LIVE bait. Only fishing with artificial baits is authorized. No trolling allowed.
10. No more than two contestants per boat. No exceptions.
11. Contestants must check in at Kentucky Dam Marina between 4:45 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. on the day of tournament.
12. Live wells will be checked by members of the tournament committee prior to the start of the tournament. All boats
13. There will be a 4oz. (.25 lb) penalty for each dead fish and one pound penalty for each short fish.
14. Late penalty will be one pound per minute—15 minutes late will lose all credit.
15. Five fish limit per boat
16. No alcoholic beverages allowed.
17. A polygraph test may be given.
18. Kentucky Dam Marina is off limits.
