Hopkins County, KY - The play Brighton Beach will be presented in Madisonville, KY on November 19, 20 and 21st at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. Over the next few weeks iSurf News will be doing an up close and personal conversation with each of the actors.
This week we meet the character Stan who is being played by Tom Groves from Madisonville, KY. By day he is a network engineer and works with Kerco Information Systems.
After work hours, he loves to relieve the day-to-day stress by becoming another character. In this production he is playing Stan, who is the older brother of the main character Eugene. Stan is the typical older brother, always giving his brother a hard time, but at the same time trying to teach him about life.
Tom the actor has acted throughout high school and college both in theater productions and in movies. This is his third production in Madisonville, having acted in Killer Cast Party, Grease and now Brighton Beach. He has also been involved with the movie productions of Big Biting Pig Production of Madisonville, KY.
Expressing thanks to his girlfriend, Karen Orange and family for their support and patience, Tom has found that performing on stage gives him a lot of satisfaction and is a lot of fun. He enjoys the energy that he draws from the audience and likes theater the best. Come on out and watch Tom, aka Stan as he teaches his brother about life in Brighton Heights on Nov 19, 20, and 21 at 6:30.
