Hopkins County, KY – The Hopkins County Central Storm Marching Band made some history this past weekend as they competed in the KMEA 4A West Regional competition this past Saturday in Bowling Green, KY.

They made a tremendous showing on Saturday as they were selected as a KMEA State Semifinalist Band. This means that they are one of the top 16 bands in class 4A in the state. In the history of the band, this is only the second time that they have reached this level. The Storm band also made history by finishing in 6th place in the regional competition, which is the highest a Hopkins County Central Band has ever placed. iSurf News would like to offer our congratulations to this band and wish them the best of luck as they go to the state competition. Hopkins County can really be proud of the musical talent that is represented by the bands in our county as this county has two of the best bands in the state. So again good luck to both Hopkins County Central and Madisonville North Hopkins bands. Go get ‘em!!
